Position Overview & Specifications
Your role will be instrumental in the success of these projects and you will use your experience in managing consultants and contractors, co-ordinating the project process from inception through to design, planning and completion. You will need excellent written and verbal communication skills . You must be comfortable attending meetings and leading discussions and be personable to both maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
We need someone who recognises that all the projects we deliver ultimately impact our patients, be it directly or indirectly, therefore care and attention to detail is paramount to ensure health and safety standards throughout any of our project life cycles.
The post holder will project manage assigned projects to deliver the desired outcomes in accordance with quality, budget, and timescale specifications, thus performing a key role in keeping the project/programme on track to meet the objectives.
This will involve:
- facilitating the development of ITAPS project plans.
- facilitating delivery of projects including regulatory requirements, e.g. Quality Impact Assessments (QIAs)
- identifying, building and managing multifunctional teams of both technical and non-technical staff in line with Trust procedures and best practice.
- Developing and maintaining strong communications links with key stakeholders, including ITAPS Project Boards, conveying complex issues and negotiating desired outcomes
- monitoring progress of projects and workstreams.
- supporting the identification, recording, monitoring and management of project risks and issues.
- producing reports and papers for meetings.
- Completing and maintaining formal project documentation required throughout the project lifecycle including the production of policies and procedures
- ensuring governance processes are followed.
- having allocated areas of work and responsibilities and will also provide cross-working support within the innovation team as and when required
- identifying the impact and support the operational change management following the completion of the project.
