Dog Carer

At The Happy Acres, we are all about dogs! We are a new doggy daycare that opened in summer 2022. We are set in 7 acres of fields and we strive to give each and every one of our dogs the best day, every day!

We are looking for a carer who will work in the field all day looking after the dogs and providing them with physical and mental stimulation.

• Supervising and providing mental and physical stimulation for the dogs.
• Monitoring dog behaviour, disengaging unwanted behaviour as well as notifying team and manager.
• Chatting to customers that drop off and pick up their dog from the Day Care Centre.
• Following the weekly enrichment plan to help dogs make the most of their time at The Happy Acres.
• Bathing, washing and towelling dogs prior to pick up.
• Keeping the fields clean of any dog faeces.
• Maintaining high levels of husbandry and hygiene in all areas.
• Taking out rubbish.
• Start of the day field safety checks.
• End of the day field safety checks.
• Feeding the dogs their lunch (if provided by the owners).
• Being able to cover the dog vans when needed.

Hours: 7:45am-5pm

What we are looking for:

• Someone passionate about dogs
• Experience of working with dogs
• A clean driving license
• Someone who enjoys being outside in all weathers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £21,000.00 per year
