Warehouse Operatives

Based at our Head Office and Distribution Centre at Axis Business Park, Portal Way, Gillmoss the site supports our network of Home Bargains stores.

The site runs 24/7 and the available contract is for 37.50 hours a week working any 5 days from 7 - this will include working weekends (Saturday and Sunday).

Available shifts:

Days:

• Rotating 6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm with fixed weekday rest days - for example, if your allocated rest days are Monday and Tuesday, in one week you will work Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2pm - 10pm, in the following week (from the Sunday) the same working days will be worked on the 6am - 2pm shift.

Nights:

• 10pm - 6am fixed rest days

Suitable applicants will be reliable with a hands on approach to work.

General warehouse duties include using headsets to receive picking instruction, operating Order Picking Units (OPUs), undertaking Pedestrian Picking and Secure Picking and involves considerable manual handling.

• Complete general warehouse duties including picking, de-kit, loading and decant
• Follow instruction and adhere to health and safety practices and procedures
• Work towards achievement of pick rate and other KPI targets
• Previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided

• Able to work well under pressure and to tight timeframes
• Available to work weekends as part of the normal shift pattern (Saturday and Sunday)
